Fixed and Ready To Go?

We have had our new car for 3 months and already we have had a fender bender..
"Melissa come and look at the Mazda..what did you do?"
Apparently I instill so much faith in my driving ability that immediately my darling husband turns to me..
THANKFULLY I had NOTHING to do with the bump..someone must have hit us in the parking garage at the wedding last weekend..WHICH by the way was a complete HOOT!! AND there were kids there so someone must have snuck them in disguised as adults and then when they brought out the martini luge everyone was so in awe that no one cared..

Which also brings me to the fact that it has come to my attention, because I pointed it out to myself, that I am a complete MORON in public..I have spent so much time with Keegan this summer that I am a BRILLIANT entertainer of a 16 month old..but I cannot carry on a conversation with an adult to save my life..Let's be honest I have never had a super great attention span anyway, but NOW I am really really HORRIBLE..I think I interrupted every one that I was talking to BY MYSELF!!!
So I have about a week before I go back into the public sector full time and I definitely have some work ahead of me..part of me just wants to stay home with Keegan...I really have loved my full-time Mama time..but we would be living in cardboard boxes and probably have to eat our cats..

So our car is fixed and the man who worked on it today was a total sweetheart and let me borrow his son's 96 Pontiac Bonneville which brought back flashbacks of my high school days driving my step-dad's boat of a car..and Keegan didn't know WHAT I was doing to him, but he liked the adventure of it..and he was happy because we had Ciatti's for lunch and he got to flirt with the cute college waitresses who kept "ooh-ing" over him so it was a win-win day for him...
On the way home, I realized that I forgot the stroller in the "Bonne" so my relationship with the mechanic isn't over yet, and that is usually the case..I can't just have a clean break..LORD..so he is being nice enough to meet me somewhere to get it back to me..I am sure that we were his "highest maintenance" customers and probably he will just be glad to be rid of me as it took him longer to get Keegan's carseat in and out of my car and into his and then back ..and oh Lord..you see what I am saying..then it did to actually just fix our one little dent..
but I am thankful for such a nice dude..

We have such a teeny yard right now..and I am PRAYING that our house deal goes through and that's why I don't even dare blog about it because I don't like to talk about things unless I know they are DONE and I can be a smartass about them... so this summer Keegan and I have had to play in a yard about the size of a cocktail napkin...and so he has had this water table..but he likes the automatic sprinklers..and he will NOT BUDGE when they come on..I mean he just STANDS there directly in the line of fire and if I try to move him ..he throws a complete conniption..and then I think..well, if he likes water..who am I to stop him? Isn't that how Michael Phelps probably got his start? Standing in the sprinkler? Getting pummeled? So here are the pictures of our darling son..LOVING the sprinkler..even if it doesn't look like he does..because he DOES..I tried to move him..and then I just took his clothes off..and let him play some more..I cannot do this for very much longer..he will be 20 soon..let me have my baby time..
