Will's List

So a lot has happened in the past two months and I kind of fell off the face of the earth with my blogging..
I discovered facebook..and it doesn't even touch blogging in terms of creativity..but it is a whole hell of a lot faster because all you have to do is login..and they ask you a question:MELISSA WHAT ARE YOU DOING RIGHT NOW???
and you can type in some smartass caption like: MELISSA IS DRINKING WINE AND THROWING UP JUST A LITTLE WHILE SHE WATCHES THE DEBATES!!

And it makes you sound all politically savvy, yet cool because you are drinking some wine and chillin' and then you can log out and that's it..
you don't have to come up with snappy titles and long "Carrie-Bradshaw-like" articles..but again..I think this is much better for my brain..
SOOOOO..we moved..
and it just happened so it's not like we have been in our house for months..but we did get the house we wanted and have been waiting on for six months..and it isn't our fault the people wouldn't take our original offer..because this whole thing could have been over last March..but they were the ones who thought it would sell for a lot more and IT DIDN'T and well..I guess that's what a short sale is all about in this time of economic crisis..so we got a good deal and they got out of their mortage..win win, I guess..
I have to admit the whole time I kept feeling sorry for this couple thinking they were in some horrible financial hardship..until my new neighbor told me they went and bought a new big house..FIRST..uhhh..okay.....no more feeling sorry..we are worthy of the good deal..
So Will has become quite the homeowner and I could NOT be prouder of him..I have to admit that I was a little worried..I mean..I didn't know how he was going to be..Look, he's never owned a house (well neither have I..but he's the man in charge of the work..ahahaha..oh shut up I am just kidding..let me be nervous) and there is a shit ton to do: sprinklers..yard work..trees..garag.. Oh I should Never worry about the garage..see 2006 blogs..but anyway..I just get nervous..he works late..he has a commute..what if crap piles up..what if we become those people in the neighborhood with the house that everyone TALKS about because it looks like hell??
But Will has discovered this really amazing resource for himself: Craig's List..
Look, I thought Craig's List was the way guys solicited prostitutes..or got free vacuums..(this is what my brother did..at least the free vacuum bit) BUT NOT SO! There is more there! Will has singlehandedly sold all of our old furniture, had a tree taken out of our new yard, the surround sound installed and the sprinkler system winterized..ALL WITHIN THREE WEEKS. AND HE HAS COME OUT IN THE BLACK!! (That means we're ahead right??!!)
So I am calling it Will's list..I have even provided a BEFORE and AFTER picture of the tree removal..because I am just so proud of his resourcefulness...and the fact that the guy who did the work didn't turn out to be a crackhead who broke into our house and stole all our stuff..(Well, have YOU read the stories about the people from Craig's List????)
I think Will might be a little addicted to finding things on Will's List..BUT I DON'T CARE at this point..because I know it's stuff for the house..and I know it's not a hooker named Tawny..(at least I don't think so..)
