Wolves, Secret Santas, etc.

I am sitting on the couch, typing and I just heard wolves howling outside. I am sure they were wolves. It was not a dog, and it wasn't our drunk neighbor, his voice is higher, so I am convinced it's wolves. Will doesn't come home from work until late tonight. I am alone, pregnant, and there are wolves howling at the door. I feel like an episode of Little House on the Prairie.

Well, only two more days until Christmas vacation and I CANNOT wait! My creative juices at school are waning. Really, I got nothin'. Thank goodness for full-length films and holiday puzzles. Seriously.

I am definitely showing. I look like I swallowed a volleyball. I am really kind of liking my tummy. So is Will. This is good news..I can't imagine what it would be like if he was not into my pregnant body. I would be in the garage a lot, I guess.

We are going home to Wisconsin on Friday. I love these trips. I love Will's family..now they are kind of my family too. It's like a bunch of Wills just hanging out. Really it doesn't get much better. Some families are just FUN..I am really glad I am getting a fun one.

Will's office drew names for Secret Santa and I almost cannot type this because I start laughing so hard when I think about it. Do you have a crazy person at your work? EVERY work has one, so don't even say your place of employment is perfect..I am NOT listening. I KNOW you have one. That person who always says something a little "odd" or doesn't quite "get it"? You know you can picture this person right now.
Well Will drew HER name for Secret Santa! Ahahahahahha! He had one hell of a time figuring out gifts for her. "Melissa she collects crosses."
"Oh, that's a nice hobby. But she put that on her Secret Santa info. sheet?"
"Yes!! I put things like: I like sports. I like chocolate. She like crosses, eclectic things and nothing scented."
Two words: Dollar store.
In the end, he bought her a Tinkerbell pen, a Pez dispenser and the movie Girl Interrupted.
"Because it's about crazy girls and I thought she could relate."
I am hoping she doesn't figure that part out.
I was impressed with the Tinkerbell pen though. That's creative.

Will has started wrapping presents. It looks a bit like Santa's workshop in here. I have praised him up and down for his wrapping ability. He seems to be a little insecure about this. Apparently he has forgotten that I wrap like a four year-old. Really he has nothing to worry about.
Now, if I can just keep him from sticking tape on the cats for fun, we'll be fine.

I am really excited to give him his presents. I was completely unselfish, and bought him something that he will really really love and I could care less about. I can't tell you what it is because he might read this, but I promise I will let you know next time.
P.S. It has something to do with sports. See? Completely unselfish..
