Sunday Afternoon

So the only thing that Maren wants to watch is The Wizard of Oz.
And I am letting her.
Because when Maren watches The Wizard of Oz, I can actually do the dishes, laundry, cooking, vacuuming....you get the picture.
I am sure that I am breaking 1000 Good Mothering Rules by allowing her to watch the same thing over and over,
But look, for 20 months of my life, she had me arrested. This is the first time since she's been BORN, that I can do anything when she is awake.
I will take my chances with the critics.
Yesterday, was Will and my 5th wedding anniversary.
We have been together for 6 years.
Look, this is pretty good odds for both of us.
"Do you think we'll make it another 5?"
"Will, we are having another child. You aren't going anywhere. I need help."
Honestly, though, I feel really good about where we are right now.
Marriage is not easy, but truly, being married to Will is not HARD.
Cat puke on the carpet, sleepless nights with babies, bills. Those are hard things.
But being married to him is easy. He makes it that way, and I am thankful for that.
Well, I made it 10 minutes and it's time to start dinner. Maren has already buckled herself in and asked "What for dinner?"
Sigh.  Do you see why I make my meals ahead of time?
