Tuesday

Keegan is home sick today with a bad cough and a cold.
When your son is diabetic and then he gets sick on top of it-total double whammy.
He is already sick. Really? Does he need to get sick-ER??
He is sleeping right now but we're going to the clinic a little later on.  There is nothing on the market for a 5 1/2 year old with a bad cough. I gave him a teaspoon of honey and put Vick's vapor rub on his feet.
Just call me Florence Henderson.
Wait. That's not right, that's the Brady Bunch...
but come to think of it...all these kids...

Our dish isn't working because there is so much snow on it.
Will just watched a Today episode from 2011. Our father in law was in New York with his band students.  He watched "Bill on the plaza for 10 minutes."
I thought it was a brand new episode because Lindsay Lohan and her train wreck life was the top news story.
Come to find out, it's almost two years old. Seriously, Lindsay. Get it together.  No more excuses. Barf.
I met my sub yesterday. She was very CALM and seemed competent.  How can this be at 25?
I am very judgmental of people younger than 35. And I am always a little bit surprised when someone as young as the sub seems so put together.
I realize this has a lot to do with the fact that I was NOT together until I hit about 34.  My life equals your life.
No, it doesn't, but it's still hard to fathom someone could be CALM at 25.
Pleasant, though. Very pleasant.
The best thing about going to school was that it made me miss it. I was starting to worry. I wasn't feeling much about work.  After yesterday, seeing a few of my friends, and the kids, I am happy to report that I don't think I'll mind going back.
I say that now.
Ask me at 6 am in February or March. My outlook might be different.
Weirdest part of yesterday: student encounter.
"Mrs. Williams! Mrs. Williams!  My dad died."
"Oh, I know, I heard. I am so sorry. Was he sick?"
"He said his chest hurt. But he's right here!" Held up her wrist.
"Oh, uh, hmm..."
"We had him cremated."
Bracelet around student's wrist with what appeared to be a small silver capsule attached.
She was wearing her father.................................................................................
Now, I love my dad. I do. He's great.  Funny, smart, charming. (Horrible driver, though) BUT I just want to make it clear that when my father passes (which won't be for like 100 years...he ages like Dick Clark) I am NOT going to be wearing him.
In fact, I am not going to wear any of my family.
But that's just me.
